Blog 13 June 2016
Greetings for the new week. I don’t always write music specifically for people, but there are times when the people in my life and what is happening for them stimulates a creative music thought, and I work on a piece with that person, or occasion, in mind.
This week’s featured music is ‘Prayer for Leigh’ from my most recent album, ‘Places with high levels of natural beauty’ (see the webpages http://petawilliams.com.au/music_products/ or http://www.petawilliams.com.au/music_cd_baby/) .
This piece was written for my sister Leigh on the occasion of her commissioning as Bishop’s priest to the Parish of Rylstone Kandos in April 2011. It was a special occasion and this was my gift to her to commemorate an important moment in her life. I have re-arranged it for this CD and it is the first time it has been made public. I hope it resonates with you.
Until next time,
